Acrylic on acrylic board (Unframed) This is the first in what I intend to be maybe 3 or 4 images of New York. I loved New York. I was absorbed by its vibrancy and the way that from the first second of contact it hits you full in the face. There is not much subtle or sophisticated, it’s all loud and instant. Yet on my first morning, I encountered Bryant Park. On a hot day New Yorker’s were eating their lunch, playing with children, sitting and reading or working on their I-pads. They lazed on the grass and on benches. It was a haven of calm midst a mad world. This was my first view of it as I approached.
