Acrylic on Board. (Unframed) (40.5cm x 26.2cm) Budleigh Salterton, in Devon, holds particular memories for me. When I moved to Exeter in 1974 Budleigh was the first place I visited. It was on a Sunday in January, the day was mild, but the left overs of a three-day storm were still fiercely blowing, and the waves crashed onto the steep cobble beach throwing red stones and spray high into the air. Budleigh maintains a Victorian charm which the passing years have not eroded, and it was a joy to paint this picture as memories returned.
