Carwardine’s, Fisherton Street, Salisbury (A3 acrylic) (unframed)
Wandering around towns is a favourite pastime, and as I do so, I am always looking out for potential paintings. A mix of buildings, interesting groups of people, even traffic, for me, makes for an interesting composition.
This view of Carwardines on the corner of Fisherton Street is no exception.
I have painted this before from the opposite angle, but I think this makes for a more interesting composition. I liked the palette on this one, and the brushwork was also pleasing.
I feel it caught the atmosphere of a warm day wandering in the city.
