Description
Oil on canvas (circa 6″ x 6″) (Unframed)
Here is Christine, who still hates (she says) having her photograph taken, or being painted.
I have managed to grab a few pics of her over the years, and done a few sketches and a couple of paintings, but she always pretends she hasn’t seen them.
I find that rather amusing.
I grabbed this image as a screen shot during a Zoom session, and my intention was to use as a basis for experimenting with technique.
I have now already completed two paintings taken from this image; the first a light/shade contrast, the second a more abstracted blurred image effect, and now this small, conventional portrait.
I enjoyed working the small brush on this and applying thick paint with lots of individual strokes.
I’m reasonably happy with this. I won’t sell the original, I expect some day, I’ll give it to Christine.
Prints available.
