Acrylic on Acrylic Board. (Circa A3) (Unframed) This is probably the last painting from the Gorleston sketch book, February 2015. I am once again drawn to the old lighthouse, standing tall amongst the rather haphazard seaside architecture, which show signs of neglect and wear. There is something about the atmosphere of old ports, and sea towns like Gorleston, and I have tried hard to capture something of that in this picture. I know it’s not a scene that will appeal much, but I enjoyed looking at it and painting it. I like anything atmospheric.
