House near Chatteris (12 inch x 10 inch, oil on canvas) (Unframed)
This is one I resurrected from my Fenland sketchbook.
I had driven for what felt like miles along a broken and sometimes dusty, and other times muddy track, very uneven and potholed, in order to try to find a Nature Reserve.
Shortly after passing this house the track seemingly came to an end and I never found the Nature Reserve, as there was major structural work taking place on the adjacent waterway, and going further seemed at best unwise!
However, I made my way back to the house and did a sketch and took pics, and this is the result.
Alas, apart from knowing it’s near Chatteris, I have no idea of the exact location. Any Fens people out there recognise it and and can tell me, I’d love to know
