Isle of Wight Ferry Lymington Painted by Frank Callaghan. Oil 0n Canvas (51 cm x 36 cm) (Unframed) This composition focuses on one of my favourite subjects and one of my favourite places. Ships (and boats). I love their statuesque and sculptural qualities, and in the composition there is the direct comparison of a larger more majestic vehicle, overshadowing, even threatening the tiny local craft that moor precariously alongside the entry path to the ferry terminal. And the terminal is Lymington, the town where I live and that I now consider home. I love this scene and never tire or walking to the terminal and just watching. I hope you enjoy the picture.
