Jo at Bridges of Lymington
Acrylic on Board (A3) (Unframed)
Bridges is the Lymington Cafe I most often frequent. There are others, but Bridges is the place I usually retreat to when I need a bit of solace, good coffee and fine cake or quiche. Weekly my pal Larry and I meet there and chat for 90 minutes as we work out way through a large caffetiere of coffee and enjoy refreshments of choice.
Bridges is a venue where from time to time I exhibit, and have sold a few paintings, and I have occasionally thought that I might paint the cafe interior, given it’s interesting assemblage of jars and crystals.
I eventually took a couople of snaps on my iPhone, and this is the result. Jo is the cafe proprietor, and she, and her daughter Sophie are the very best cake makers for miles around. They also brew exceptionally good coffee.
So I did this for Jo.I guess some time I might do one for Sophie as well!
