Lepe Beach

Acrylic on Acrylic Board (approx A3) (Unframed)

This painting was again,  a reasonably quick one to complete. It’s a fairly simple, straightforward composition, with no areas of complexity or difficulty. I enjoyed painting it as much as I did visiting the place. I hadn’t been to Lepe for years and it has changed a bit owing to upgrading of the Country Park, and the walkways along the top of the foreshore, and is better for some millennium funding to help preserve the left over WWII remains of the Normandy Invasion preparations.

These items are not particularly attractive, but of signifiant historical interest, and other than that, Lepe is part of an attractive peninsular that faces  out to The Solent and the Isle of Wight across the water.

It makes for a pleasant walk and there is usually a quiet space to sit and sketch or paint if that takes your fancy, as it did mine….as you can see
