Lymington High Street early morning

£65.00£250.00

Every morning on weekdays, throughout the year at 0700 I undertake a daily walk. In the summer this might often be in The Forest, but in the wet winter months it follows a trail down to the salt marsh, the yacht basin, estuary, Town Quay and back up the High Street.

The last bit is a bit of a climb, and as it approaches 0800 the town, even in lockdown, is beginning to come to life.

On a cold , sunny morning I decided to grab some images. This is one of them. Painting it, I have tried to keep it loose and unfussy. Whether I’ve succeeded is up to you.

Description

Lymington High Street, early morning. (A3 Acrylic on Acrylic board) (Unframed)

There are always workmen queueing at Greggs for their breakfast, and those shops that are still opening are coming to life. Even though, as with most town centres, there are now lots of empty stores, it still shows signs of being busy,

On a cold , sunny morning I decided to grab some images. This is one of them. Painting it, I have tried to keep it loose and unfussy. Whether I’ve succeeded is up to you.

I will probably do at least one more
