Acrylic on acrylic board ( A3) (Unframed)
Here is one of my favourite models. She sits serenely. We speak very little as I sketch her, or as I do quick watercolours, and take photographs, so that later I can work them up into a studio painting.
On this one I wrestled with the skin tones, as I always do, but I think looking at it, they are reasonably successful. I was once again, pleased with the work on the hair, made easier by the purchase of my new detail brushes. I did however wear one of the new brushes out on this one scrubbing at the skin textures.
On this one I deliberately blurred the background. Maybe I should have reduced it further to more of a monotone. Anyway, decisions have been made, and here it is.
