Dorset toward Lyme. A4 Water Colour on Water Colour paper
I freely admit that I struggle to come to terms with water colour. I keep trying, and this is my most recent attempt.
It’s an A4 painting on water colour paper, and it’s a view across the Dorset countryside, looking toward Lyme Regis. I did an acrylic of a similar view last year, after my trip away to stay in Lyme for a few days. It was what I call a ‘sketch book’ trip and both paintings are sourced from sketches and photographs made whilst on the trip.
Dorset is a beautiful county and I’m pleased to say under-rather and still largely under visited. Long may it stay so. This t]short trip was blessed with hot weather and it was a very productive trip and has produced a numb-ber of acrylic and oil paintings. This is the first water colour.
