Robin Hood Bay

This was a special commission for a school teacher from the days when I was at Grammar School. It was asked for by another ex pupil. I was never a great fan either of school, nor must I admit of the teacher, but it seemed churlish not to do it. It took some time for me to find the correct image and much longer to paint than usual. I struggled with this, and almost abandoned it out at one point, but I think perseverance paid off. In fact when completed, I was more pleased with it than I usually am
