Summer wild flowers in Guernsey (2)
Water colour on Water colour paper. A4 (Unframed)
This is the second of two water colours of wildflowers. As previously started I saw them on one of the many walks that we did on our week visiting Guernsey and Herme. These flowers I saw on the northern tip of the island, and I loved the sculptural shapes of the taller flowers, set against the sky, and against the colour of the shorter flowers which make up the background. This second painting is probably more painterly in a water colour sense than the foist, but maybe slightly less attractive as a composition. But the main aim for me lis to practice and to come to terms with the water colour technique
I am not a water colourist and I wrestle with this medium each time I use it. I’m trying desperately hard to teach myself the essentials of the technique.
It’s not for me to judge how I am progressing Please feel free to be the judge and I’m happy to receive comments and advice.
