Thomas’s House, Laugharne (A4 acrylic on acrylic board) (Unframed)
For this painting, I have returned to the original Llanelli sketch book and collected images. I have already painted this scene as a watercolour, but as I’m not particularly proficient as a watercolorist, I thought it would be sensible to repeat the exercise using acrylics.
I like the composition of tis and I very much like the small town of Laugharne. I”m a great fan of the work of Dylan Thomas, even thought I don’t pretend to fully understand all of it.
I was particularly pleased with the rocks and the stone pier in this painting, and I also think that the foliage worked well.
