Acrylic on Board (A3) (Unframed)
This was taken from my two days spent in Weymouth, and the sketches and photographs that I made whilst I was there.
It was a fine couple of days weather wise, but very cold, but there was plenty to to see and record within the town. I didn’t have to venture much further.
It is my intention (hope) to produce maybe three or four images from Weymouth, from a trip which overall was very productive. The sea front has a lot to offer, and there’s many different interesting views. Being a predominantly Victorian Town, it has captured much of the traditional English sea side style, and the grand houses that line the esplanade provide and elegant backdrop for any view of the beach and the ‘prom’.
I liked this view. It includes that delightful bit of Victoriana, the shelter, and the majestic houses in the background make a nice contrast to the beach on a cold day.
This is the first. Hopefully more to come.
